BSA FILTERS

The BSA class absolute filter cartridges are made of polypropylene. Thanks to unique technology of production the cartridges ensure filtration efficiency level of 99,98 % for particle size encoded in the identification markings. BSA cartridges consist of three successive layers of fibres wound on a polypropylene core.

Thanks to unique technology of production the cartridges ensure filtration efficiency level of 99,98 % for particle size encoded in the identification markings. BSA cartridges consist of three successive layers of fibres wound on a polypropylene core. The outer layer serves as a pre-filter, the middle layer is an intermediate filter, and the inner layer acts as a final filter.

Perfect for applications where effective protection against such contaminants is required. They protect household appliances, installations, heating systems and fittings, prolonging their service life. The filter is made entirely of pure high-quality polypropylene, FDA-approved. It retains all the advantages of the original material including: high chemical, mechanical and thermal resistance. The internal filter structure is obtained without the addition of any plasticizing agents, adhesives or other binder components. Due to “melt-blown” production technology, these cartridges offer excellent efficacy, and in addition small flow resistance, very high absorption capacity and stiffness of the whole structure. They operate correctly even at high differential pressures. The BSA cartridges use their entire volume for filtration and therefore they have a very long service life, while offering high performance and constant efficiency. BSA cartridges have a triple layer structure. The outer layer with the greatest micronage acts as a pre-filter performing coarse filtration. The particles of smaller and smaller sizes are trapped in the middle and the innermost layer. This ensures better utilization of the filter volume, protects the outer layers against clogging and extends cartridge’s service life. BSA series cartridges have an inner core, which significantly increases their resistance to pressure spikes. In the case of mechanical damage to the cartridge, the core also prevents the release of fibres to the filtered liquid. Due to filtration effectiveness, BSA cartridges belong to the group of the so-called absolute filters. This means that the filtration efficiency for example for a particle size of 1 micron is over 99.98%, that is only 1 in 5000 particles of a given size can pass through the filter. BSA cartridges are used mainly for semi-industrial and industrial applications for water treatment. In contrast to the FRN series filters, they have a larger filtration volume, and thus absorbency and durability.
